A one-way warp tiles also appears at the end of Hearthome Gym as a quick exit. Warp tiles in the Sinnoh games are indicated by a circle. Two-way warp tiles are yellow and only go between areas on the same floor, while one-way warp tiles are green and only go between areas on different floors. In Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum, warp tiles can be found in the Galactic Veilstone Building in Sinnoh. In Ruby and Sapphire, these warp tiles only serve as a quick exit from the Gym from Tate and Liza's area, as well as a way to return to the start of the corresponding Trick House maze. The other style appears in the Mossdeep Gym and a similarly-designed maze in the Trick House. Hoenn also introduced one-way warp tiles, where the tile on the other end of the warp is a warp tile but does nothing if stepped on. These warp tiles are indicated by an octagon. They have an expanded role in Emerald, where these warp tiles are used to traverse Mossdeep Gym's maze similar to that in Saffron Gym, and again to traverse a similar maze in the Trick House. These warp tiles are indicated by a circle. One style appears in the Team Aqua S E or Team Magma Hideout R in Lilycove City in Hoenn, which serves the same role as warp tiles in previous generations. Warp tiles can also be found in Saffron Gym in Kanto. In Johto, the regular variety is featured only in the Tin Tower, where they are used to navigate the upper floors of the building. In Johto, one can be found in Team Rocket HQ, which, unlike standard warp tiles, transports the player to a normal tile instead of another warp tile. Unlike the preceding generation, warp tiles are rare in Generation II. While it usually takes about six seconds, the shorter animation is only four seconds long. In the Generation I games, using the move Dig or an Escape Rope while stepping on a warp tile will shorten the warping animation. tiles in FireRed and LeafGreen are indicated by a diamond while in FireRed and LeafGreen, the ones in Saffron Gym are indicated by green squares. Warp tiles in Generation I as well as the Silph Co. Warp tiles are also found in Saffron Gym. In FireRed and LeafGreen, this task was made easier, as the floor number was displayed each time the player was transported. Inside there is a mass network of the tiles, which the player has to navigate through in order to complete the task. The warp tile is first and predominately found in Silph Co.'s head office building in Saffron City in Kanto. It looks like it's set to simultaneously be a land tile and an ocean tile. There's a random tile in the southeast side of Route 134 that appears to be glitched. I never got to go there until I changed the script to just have it always appear. You can't get a female one organically in Gen3, but I'd imagine you can potentially breed one with a ditto, though I've never done it. Everyone knows this now, but I didn't until I started playing around with this. Not sure if there's anything to exploit here, but it's interesting nonetheless. In one of these (above the underwater Aqua cave), if you dive and come up in that exact spot while walking through the entrance, you'll come to the surface and be on foot on top of a rock. There's are many random squares that have the "walkable" property, but no adjacent one has this, meaning you shouldn't be able to reach it. There are some hidden items in places where people probably wouldn't think to look. Some things I'm sure many other people probably have known, but I didn't until I started looking at the code myself: I did find some pretty interesting stuff out that most people probably don't know. I'm not sure if there are any other secrets in newer gens, but I can assure you that I've went through all the NPC scripts and don't remember seeing any other ones. I guess I didn't dig deep enough into it, but this makes so much sense. I've seen this guy's script where it gives you a Tentacool, but went in-game and couldn't figure out what flag needed to be met to trigger it. I'm working on a rom hack 9f emerald right now.
